Arriving Healthy

Summary: New immigrants to America are poor and tired but probably healthier than other Americans. The immigrants become unhealthier after they have life in the U.S. than before they immigrate. American public health programs should look at what immigrants do for their health.

Initial reaction: I think that immigrants become unhealthier after  coming to the U.S. is true because they usually drive, go to fast food restaurants, and eat snack and sweets with much sugar. They may walk more often, cook by themselves, and do not have too much sugar in their own country. I can even feel I am getting unhealthier than before coming to the U.S. as an international student.
